GossipX is a pseudonymous community network. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Where anything here conflicts with your rights under applicable law, those rights prevail.
To operate GossipX, personalise your feed, keep the community safe, prevent spam and abuse, and — only if you opt in — send notifications. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.
GossipX has two public identities: Real and Ghost. A Ghost is a persistent pseudonymous profile; other users are not shown which Real profile owns it. GossipX privately retains that relationship for account security, abuse prevention and moderation, so Ghost should not be treated as untraceable.
GossipX supports device-to-device end-to-end encryption when both participants have usable encryption keys. If end-to-end encryption is unavailable for a session, messages fall back to server-side encryption at rest. The app indicates encrypted-message state; do not assume every historical message is end-to-end encrypted.
Private circle content is never shown on public pages or in search. We never place personal data in shareable links, and we automatically strip phone numbers and emails from public posts.
We share data only where necessary to run the service (for example, your browser push service delivers notifications) or where required by law or to protect people from imminent harm.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account, which removes your account and the content tied to it. You can also request access or deletion through the grievance channel.
Passwords are stored using strong hashing, messages are encrypted, and the site is served over HTTPS. GossipX is intended for people aged 18 and over.
We will update this page when our practices change. Questions? Use the grievance channel or contact us.
